Every time we hear from another state it seems like they are trying to outdo the last one. I suspect they believe if they push enough over the top extreme measures, we'll be lulled to sleep when they come in with something just a little less severe.

This bill will die, but it shows me we (in Missouri) need to divest ourselves of a few Democrats (as in "quite a few") come 2016.

Probably. I've been thinking this has been the strategy all along. So many of these proposed legislations are so over the top that I wonder if they seriously think that:

    1. Anyone will comply.
    2. That they would be able to enforce these laws.
    3. That these new laws would hold up in court.

I figure it's like selling a house - ask for way more than you really expect, knowing that you'll settle for less. What these politicians may not realize is that such outlandish proposals will only create a greater backlash - at least I hope so...

Of course this bill will fail. However, the fact that this legislation is being drafted at all is scary as hell.

Given that it is such a clear violation of the US Constitution and presumably the MO Constitution and nobody is being tried for treason is an outrage.

Yes - and an outrageous waste of taxpayer money. The legislature probably felt emboldened by the ridiculous missteps in New York.

If this legislation passes it will make criminals out of thousands of law abiding citizens. Maybe then the politicians will feel good about actually being able to put some law-breakers in jail.

I'd like to see a good old fashioned tar and feather party for some of these treasonous demonrats.

More of a reason to move to TX if you currently live in MO. Even our demotards aren't that stupid. Not that there are many of them in TX.

Good luck enforcing it if it does fly.

If it happened to me I'd take option one and head to a neighboring state. Oklahoma, Kentucky, Arkansas, or Tennessee.

    1)Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;

This sounds like what happened in California, I think most of the citizens in Missouri know better.

I've heard rumblings that a certain lady representative here is going to introduce legislation that essentially says that it's okay to own guns but you can't take them out of your home.

There are kooks everywhere, but it is testimony that we need to stay vigilant and LOUD.
Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

Agree treason. Just like our Socialist in Chief. The penalty for treason is not simply being run out of town on a rail. But don't hold your breath, these types aren't going to let a pesky little thing like the constitution interfere with their agenda.
