I wonder if anyone with the website owns a weapon? It would be nice to have that printed.

A local newspaper threatened to do that as soon as conceal carry was passed here..... and the Legislature quickly had a bill submitted and passed, making it illegal for anyone to disclose that anyone has a CC license.... at all. It's not a public record.

most states do not have records of "gun owners" .... but people in Illinois and New York, don't necessarily understand that they don't live in a "free state". ...... and everyone is NOT like them.

    Yeah, I saw that, too

When I chatted with Urquhart he was pretty matter-of-fact about it all. Nobody's gonna pull a Westchester County on him.

The editor at this place still hasn't gotten back to me...what's that about 5 hours? Wonder how long it takes for those New Yawkers to return an e-mail?

I swear the media is stupid. What, they think they're going to shame someone into giving up their weapons?

I'd love to see a nationwide backlash and every state provide protection for gun owners.

Curious, does the web site disclose the name and physical address of the idiot requesting the information?

Perhaps the owner of Heavy.com would like to share his personal information publically. This is twice this has happened several times nationally. In my opinion it is a method to scare firearm owners into giving up their permits. Shaming them as it were. Intimidation. On the otherhand, it sure would let criminals know where NOT to go in search of thieving or criminal activity. :) In this case however the Sheriff directed them to the Kentucky State Police. I suspect the story will end there. State Police, especially in Kentucky, is an entity not the mess with. It is like trying to intimidate a US Marine or other member of the Military. KYSP does not play games.
