    Letters to our Reps!!!!!!!!!

We need a fresh batch of letters opposing this nonsense going out to our Representatives ASAP. The media is trying to convince them that everyone is OK with this and that it doesn't infringe on our 2A. Pure incrementalism!!!! Also write to the Speaker of the House and let him know too.

While influential lawmakers in both parties view a proposed ban on assault weapons as politically toxic, lawmakers seem increasingly open to a ban on high-capacity magazines, like the 15- and 30-round devices that have been used in shooting rampages from Aurora, Colo., to Tucson, where Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head, to Newtown.

Constitutional lawyers, including many conservatives, generally believe that limiting magazine size falls well within the boundaries of recent Supreme Court decisions on gun rights, and evidence suggests that a ban on large magazines would have reduced the number of those killed in mass shootings.

I would like to suggest taking this a step further by using good ol' fashioned snail mail or fax.
While email is fast and easy for most; I firmly believe a paper letter carries more impact as the halls of congress begin to see it all piling up.

By all means; letters, phone calls, and for anyone close enough, show up in their office to voice your concerns in person.

I see a lot of talk on this forum lately that is "business as usual". That is all well and good, but where is the fire I saw a month ago? We need to understand that this is not business as usual. There is a fight for our rights going on right now and we all need to be on the front line. The enemy is using our attention span against us and we need to re-dedicate ourselves to the fight or we will for sure be losing more of our rights. Government is not run by We, the people, but by We, the People who show up to run it.

While the fight on the federal level is ongoing, the Democrats, led by Obama and his re-organized campaign machine, have launched a campaign to get bills passed at the State level. These are not going to go away on their own, people. We need everyone in the fight now!
