Real Title: Mexico to ask Senate for registry of US guns
    The Washington Times
Tuesday, February 19, 2013 - The High Tide and the Turn by Bryana Johnson

My Comments: Wow! Beyond the administration's (DOJ/DHS/BATF) 2,000+ guns that we already 'gave' them (through illegal actions of, um, someone/administration), they want more............. This actually ties very nicely into the UN Small Arms Treaty requirements for a US gun registration = the administration's push for 'Manditaory Background Checks' = 'Gun Registory'....Wow!

....In January, the Mexico Permanent Commission reportedly voted to formally ask the United States Senate for a registry of all commercialized firearms in the border states of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

....He was referring to the federal ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms) gun-walking scandal, Fast And Furious, in which US government agents allowed guns to pass into the possession of suspected gun smugglers in order to track them up to high-level Mexican crime rings.

....Not surprisingly, law-abiding gun-owners are balking at the idea of being tracked as a potential threat to Mexican lives when their own government is responsible for causing so much of the problem. If there needs to be action taken on the issue of gun-smuggling, they say, start with the smugglers! They donít feel thatís them.

Those senators actually believe those 60,000 people wouldn't have been murdered if they knew the origins of the weapons in question?

They still wouldn't have the murderers in hand. It's not as though the original owners of those weapons crossed over the border into Juarez and elsewhere in their thousands to engage in the drug/extortion/murder business that the cartels had sewn up anyway.

Mexico wants to know who has the guns just across the border so they can sneak over hear and steal them. Yep, let's just hand them a grocery list.

All I can say to that ridiculous idea is that I will reply to any Mexican demand for knowledge of my firearms in Texas with the same thing that Colonel Travis said at the Alamo when Santa Ana demanded surrender..... (Aims cannon for that first shot....)

as a potential threat to Mexican lives
I think the Mexican gov has this backwards!

How about closing the border; permanently!
One can not walk from S. Korea into N. Korea or N. Vietnam into S.Vietnam....Is this any different? I think not.

No, I will not give a list of my guns to the Mexican Gov't.

Now, if the "Esteemed United Nations" were to ask.... the response would be a bit different...

    Come,

    Take them
