I would not be surprised if Lisa Madigan tried to get SCOTUS to rule in her favor. The left side politicos here are frothing at the mouth do do something to "curb the violence" in Chicago. Whatever they come up with won't make a tinker's damn bit of difference but they can beat their puny chests and proclaim they did something. As long as SCOTUS remains 5-4 we will be somewhat protected against total confiscation. If that flips, watch out.

But state Rep. Dennis Reboletti, a Republican from the Chicago suburbs, had reservations about such limits.

"My concern is the gang members will always carry," Reboletti said, drawing a round of applause.

No actual law has been passed yet so still illegal to carry in IL.

Nothing has changed yet and I would not hold my breath if I were you.
Just because a Court issued an order that does not mean.
    1. That IL will follow it
    2. That that will not pass a bill so restrictive it ends up back in Court for a few years
    3. They pass a bill that just does not work.
What will not happen a clean reasonable CC law.

Well, now the citizens are going to be doing something about it. It's about bloody time.

I can see their lawyers now. They decided that they are not required to allow guns with triggers -- SCOTUS left out that important yet obvious detail. Therefore, the clear intent is to only allow trigger-less guns.

What makes you think that a bill that allows only limited concealed carry will suffice? Did you read the December ruling?

Don't forget the connection Rohm "dead fish" Emanuel has with Obama. Don't be surprised if he ignores the court and Obama backs him.

But do you really seeing them upholding a decision from a lower court for charges of carrying concealed? Granted, I don't think that would be the only charge filed, but if you want to get into a shoving match...
