Army Vet facing 7 years in prison for AR mags

Its ok for David Gregory to carry a 30 round mag, but God help the soldier who did a few tours.. New York needs a check up from the neck up! Some people are gonna say he broke the law bla bla bla, These laws are commie laws, anyway I think this guy thought the mags were pre 1994.. There is a fund raiser going on. I hope he gets the same treatment as David Gregory.

Really is ashame that we do nothing about obams boy Holder for fast and furious, We haven't done anything about benghazi and many other things, but some traitor police in NY bust a guy for a few empty mags.

I don't know how jury trials are held in New York but if I was on that jury: I would never convict anyone for something like this. We forget that our forefathers were held in high disregard by many of their peers for their stand against unjust laws; sometimes it takes things like this to " awaken the giant". These politicians have little idea the groundswell of public opinion that is building and will be released on them during the next election.

I hate it for this guy because the "little guy" is the one always bears the price of change, he will likely face financial ruin, and his life will never be the same, but maybe he will have someone like me on his jury, I hope so!!!

The sooner NY's gun laws are declared unconstitutional, the better.

He harms nobody, yet faces 7yrs in prison if convicted. Somewhere I read that punishments are to fit the severity of the alleged crime. Hard to see how a non-violent non-effect on those around him could equate to 7yrs in prison. Hard to see how anyone's better off with such a sentence.

Ditto on the idea that the sooner these unconstitutional prohibitions are buried the better.

I was born and raised in New York, and this is exactly why I wont move back. It took me 9 months to get my pistol permit....and that was considered fast by my friends.

I think he shouldn't have broken the law. There are lots of ways to fight back legally. He didn't and now he's going to go to prison.

Unless they were stamped “LEO or Military Only” identifying them as being made after the 1994 ban and before the 2004 sunset how can they prove they were not made before 1994??
