    Private gun sales

Newly proposed federal legislation would make the personal sale/transfer of guns difficult or in the case of some firearms such as AR-15s illegal. I'm curious to get a sense of how many guns are sold/transferred privately. Please respond to this poll by, "Thinking only of your most recent gun purchase/acquisition, was that purchase made with a gun dealer/retailer or from a private individual?

Actually, my "latest" acquisition was a gift, but my last purchase was thru a retailer.

My latest purchase was through a private sale off Armslist. Very good experience.

Probably 10-15% of my gun purchases have been private sales, legally conducted with no FFL involved.

Ive done a couple of private sales. But I made a reciept with description and serial # of the gun for my protection. Just in case. But me and the other guy are all that have record of the sale.

I like to purchase brand new guns! So I have to go thru the dealer. The only time I go thru a private sale is if I am building a rifle and just looking for the reciever. I plan on switching out all the other parts so I don't care so much about the barrel. Mostly a price thing, why buy brand new when you are going to toss out most of the parts.

I buy, sell, and trade firearms with other individuals who reside in my State. A photo ID is all I require, or provide to conduct a transaction.

I've done so many private sales over the years that the average gun banner would pee all over themselves and have heart palpitations.

I personally beleive that anyone that insists on using an FFL for a private sale is part of the problem with gunowners in this country, rather than the solution. They've been brainwashed into thinking that there is something wrong with selling their personal property without government permission and if it was up to me, I'd ban their government worshipping tails from this forum because frankly, I am tired of having to justify my actions to lesser men that are too stupid to see the big picture.

If you want to get permission to sell your gun from the government...fine. Dont come whining to me when they require it.

Although I look at Armslist nearly every day, I have yet to have a private transaction.
