    WA State Pistol Registry?

The LEO's objected to the currant Bills before our Reps because Alan Gottlieb put in the bill to have abolished the pistol registry. Another LEO said it was more for confiscation, than important as a investigative tool. Does anyone know anything about WA Registry? When did it start? YIKES!

This says they have been keeping a Federal list with purchases.

[The real eye-opener came from Paul Heppner, who when asked about the flow of data to National Crime Information Center (NCIC) computers, mentioned that the computer knows that any given background check is for a gun purchase. A code is sent with the request for information... thus a list is being created.]

[Those “tweaks” include something monumental: Destruction of Washington state’s long-standing handgun registry, a database that has existed for years on every retail handgun purchase. For those gun owners who did not realize this, when a potential buyer fills out paperwork at a gun store, in addition to the federal Form 4473 which is done for the background check, there is a State of Washington Pistol Transfer Application.]

It has been a round a long time. Only on pistol purchases thru a ffl.

My FFL operates out of his home. I have only filled out one form. I talked to a friend that had given up his FFL (by ? 1995), & he didn't know anything about it.
