How the White House silenced the gun control groups

    Read between the lines.
The Dems do NOT want the fight, they know the political ramifications.
    It's all dying in committee.
At this point it will be a miracle if they even get the trafficking bill through.

They just know they have to stick together to get anything done. They will be happy taking one piece at a time. They have shown that for a long time now. They know it is going to take time.

I am guessing the antis won't be too upset if much of any new gun laws don't get passed. I think they are just waiting around for the next mass shooting to occur and they will again go on another gun ban crusade and use it for the mid-term elections against the Republicans in the House. Because if Obummer can win back the House and keep the Senate, he will have two years to do whatever he wants on guns. We haven't seen anything yet if that happens.

The idea, let him fight the fight and not 2nd guess him... ????? He just doesn't want them to put out some of the stupid things they typically do, and that end up in the NEWS and rallying people against this baloney........... there is an obvious "do it behind the scenes quietly" and then SURPRISE . They are afraid if people understand what they are really trying to do, they will exercise their voice against it. Tells me, they are afraid of the American people and their voice.

Means we must spread the word to as many people as we can constantly.

On a side note look at these people in the meetings. They look so bored and defeated. They put all this into the mix and now they are kicking themselves because they have to sit in on these committee meetings dealing with it and knowing it wont get anywhere. That kind of makes me smile. I do agree they will just wait for the next mass shooting to make another push. They are a pathetic lot to whittle away at our rights like that. Makes me sick.

We cannot let the Democrats gain control of the House in the mid-terms. We must stand united for our rights. This means we must not forget who in our Senate and House are voting for these bills that will do nothing but strip us of our rights. We must be America's voice. Take a stand in 2014 and show the nation we are united and strong and if you come after our rights you will not represent us for long. If we don't America will never be the same. Our brave American forces are fighting over seas to preserve our rights. We the civilians must do our part here at home so that the U.S. they come home to is not one that is stripped of all of its rights.

Use your voices now and in the 2014 elections. We have a voice, lets use it!

    Carry On!

If the Progressive Left wants to win the mid-term elections, they will have to throw Holder and Nappy under the bus for Fast and Furious. They over-reached.

Now is for our time to create the backlash because of their over-reach, in industry and state laws enacting better pro-gun (2A Rights) laws.

    Keep chipping away!!

Re: How the White House silenced the gun control groups

I think I read a but more into the article... I'm thinking the Trafficking bill will get traction... Watch it because "trafficking" is almost anything they want it to be...

And, background checks have much support, and little detraction... Depends on how far it goes.

The opposition has joined forces our tribes have not... This will cost us.

They may not get an AWB this time, at least not nation wide... But there are plenty of states that have one and others looking toward them.

Stay vigilant... The battle is nascent.

    It could be worse!

That's the plan, hold off until mid-terms,try to get the majority, and then run the country into the ground his last two years. To counter that, continue to make the Dems the minority party.

I don't know. My gut tells me that the unprecedented dinner Obama had with Senate Republicans was about horse trading more than anything. Just think, "Hey guys, I'll back off on requests for more taxes and give you some cuts if you support Feinstein's Bill on Friday." Not really that far fetched.

I do think they are starting to rethink this because of the pushback from various groups (not just the NRA) as even the most liberal politicians are talking about "wanting to support hunters" and other ploys to divide gun owners - even when they have publicly stated in the past that they want complete gun control. It's not the slam dunk the believed it to be two months ago. So, as long as some deranged idiot doesn't go on a shooting spree in the near future things will be tougher, but those liberal gun haters are good at marketing and messaging and will keep demonizing guns and gun owners, it's their nature...

I'd suspect it's more like "Give us a tax hike and we'll let this gun stuff die"

    - This isn't a Democrat/Republican issue. There are plenty of pro-gun Democrats and anti-gun Republicans. IMO, what's more important is to stand behind those who support the 2A.
