On a separate note, it's amazing that the Sheriff Clarke of Milwaukee County has the polar opposite view of Chief Flynn.

Chief Flynn is in lockstep with MKE Mayor Barrett. There have been several public events where Barrett states that "it should be illegal for straw purchases of firearms" (which it is, and you would think that the Chief of Police of a major department would know that), but Flynn just stands there with an affirming look. It's sickening to see such intentional misrepresentation - certainly not the kind of integrity one would hope for for people in these positions.

If those two want to make changes that will have an impact then they should be pushing for mandatory minimum sentences of 3 - 5 years for any crime involving a gun. Don't give the bad guys a pass - make them pay. It's a big part of why NYC has a lower gun crime rate than Chicago.

This makes a lot more sense than trying to take away the freedom and guns from law abiding citizens.

People like him is the exact reason I don't like in areas like that.
The police are not there to protect you from crime, they are there to arrest the guy after the crime has been committed, assuming they find him. It is your responsibility to protect yourself and your family.

Wow. Flynn is one of those people who just is not capable of considering that there may be another side to his issue, and that he may just be wrong on this one. He's going to do whatever he can to support bad legislation. Looks like I won't be going to Milwaukee any time soon.

And people Like them in leadership positions is the exact reason citizens need to stay armed. And of course to remove them from office ASAP.

Excellent video. Well presented and based in fact.

    Thanks for sharing.

Flynn is a poor excuse for a police chief. He is a politician first, Puppet second. I wish they would send him back where he came from! They need to get him out of Milwaukee and Wisconsin! By the way check the crime stats in city of Milwaukee. At first he got them down but when you study the trends he is worthless and crime rates are up under him. He is on a power trip, he likes to wear the uniform with all those metals on it. Pathetic isn't he.
Side note: if you are married in the area keep your wife away from him, he has been know to have affairs with married women

Here's a letter from a Sheriff two counties over from Chief Flynn. This guy (Sheriff Dale K. Schmidt) demonstrates a lot of common sense and isn't afraid to speak his mind. It's amazing to see the contrast between an urban perspective and "everyone else." As an aside, this approach is probably more effective than the path chosen by Milwaukee County Sheriff Clarke.

    About Washington Co Sheriff Office

    Here's a sample of Sheriff Schmidt's letter:

The assertion, by President Obama, Senator Feinstein and Chief Flynn, that if certain types of guns or features of guns are banned, then violent crime will go away, is a fantasy. More importantly, they should not even be talking about it because the people hired them to protect that right. We should be talking about how to identify and stop people before they commit mass murders. We should be talking about why criminals remain on the street after multiple convictions for violent crimes. And we should be talking about how to change the sub-culture in this country that places no value on human life or personal responsibility.

Every American was appalled when they learned Adam Lanza inexplicably killed 20 children in their own classroom. But President Obama showed no leadership when he immediately took the focus to banning guns. That “kingly” position, shared by Senator Feinstein and Chief Flynn, essentially blames any American who supports the 2nd Amendment for those deaths, and excuses the perpetrator.

What if after Sandy Hook, President Obama had said, “this is bad; dangerous people are committing mass killings in public places, drug addicts are robbing banks, pharmacies and gas stations, and the Drug Cartels are operating in our central city neighborhoods. The violence in this country is more than our law enforcement people can handle right now. We work for you, and we need your help.” Might that have produced something more positive for this country than a threat to turn half its citizens into criminals for owning guns?

Seems to be the Sheriff's in many locations are against all these new gun laws...

Schmidt is right on the money. I would be honored to have him as my sheriff.
