The Department of Homeland Security purchased 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition, including hollow points – a supply that, according to some sources, should be enough to last 100 years
And with my tax money? Now if that's the reason or part of it that the shelves are bare at Sportsman's Warehouse I'm really steamed.

Only true Law enforcement agencies need to to armed. Femma. homeland security, and TSA are not law enforcement agencies like the FBI, secret service, marshall service.
As citizens we need to resist all internal threats (including Govt agencies) to our freedom.

I agree. Too many armed agencies. Most of which overlap and overlap again. Think about the war on drugs. You have the Coast Guard, FBI, DEA, Border Patrol, ICE, homeland security. The whole alphabet soup. Then there is the really obscure armed agencies. Fema, department of education, epa. Our goverment is really good at doing 2 things if something bad happens they make a law about it or create an agency to deal with it.

Well you know DHS may be preparing to arm the militia, that may be why the are buying so much ammo. :Sarcasm off:
