Bad: Kerry announced U.S. support for the UN Arms Trade Treaty

John Kerry Announces U.S. Support For U.N. Arms Trade Treaty - Investors.com

Secretary of State John Kerry announced U.S. support for the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), a final version of which is being hammered out in New York beginning this week
Bad news. I believe that the ATT has been discussed here before. This is just the latest news.
It will take 2/3 of the Senate to confirm, which I believe is not likely.

That would be John "I faked my military records" Kerry to you! Kerry is another mindless member of the socialist aristocracy. Luckily his position is not the official US position. Any such treaty would need to be ratified by the senate. Time to start writing your senators now!

I always thought it was john (I’ve been to Viet Nam) kerry. Course he only stayed in-country for a few months.

    From the article:

"We will not support any treaty that would be inconsistent with U.S. law and the rights of American citizens under our Constitution, including the Second Amendment," Secretary of State Kerry tried to reassure us — even as he represents an administration that seeks to ban weapons on their scary appearance rather than their genuine lethality, thinks the Founding Fathers wrote the Second Amendment with deer-hunting rather than British tyranny in mind, and would be happy if the entire U.S. were a "gun-free zone."

That pretty accurately sets up the argument as to how this is being played out thus far. I'll be following this very closely.

Any government official who attempts to steal the Liberty of the American people by subjugating them to foreign treaties that violate the Bill of Rights should expect to suddenly grow taller.

Luckily for us, Congress has to approve treaties (of which this one they can't) and SCOTUS has already said no treaty can undermine the Constitution, therefore would be illegal and unenforceable.

FYI: It is the Senate not Congress that has to approve treaties.....

Kerry is just a typical political hack...talking out of both sides of his mouth.
