They that would sidestep the U.S. Constitution and give away their essential liberties would do well to study the import of the oath of citizenship taken by millions of immigrants to this country:
I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen;
that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law;
that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law;
that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law;
and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.
Sadly, far too many of those already here take such things for granted. Evading their own liberties and responsibilities is fine, if they so choose. But they dare seek to destroy OURS because of their beliefs. These folks are runnin' for something; running to be enslaved, it seems to me.
Hm. There's a thought: perhaps we should have our hired staff in Congress and the courts swear this blood oath to the People each and every time they sit in the chairs we've provided for them, at the start of each day. I propose we have a good old-fashioned pledge of allegiance to the Constitution and bearing true faith to the same, for all of them. That'd be a start.
As for the Mob, sometimes I think there just needs to be a brisk "spring cleaning."
