    Oh, you poor Coloradoans

Geesh, and to think these people actually have educations and get voted into office...now, I don't expect every politician to be a gun enthusiast, heaven forbid, but before you begin legislating what I should be able to own and use, first gain some working knowledge of the subject. Thank goodness I live in Texas....

Pssssssssssssssssssst. Don't anybody tell her that the dang things can be reloaded. Just let her keep on thinking that once they're all used up, the problem is solved. She can happily go off and fix another problem somewhere in Colorado gather around the campfire and sing "Rocky Mountain High".

I'm so glad that she was able to enlighten this dumb high school graduate because I thought ammo was what I loaded in a high (standard) capacity mag. It now makes sense why I go to the range with 4 mags and only come back home with two, I shot the other two up at the range and they disappeared into the vent system at the indoor range. So I'm guessing the D beside her name in this case stands for Dumb***

Myself, I'm saving a copy of this video. If anybody from the government comes looking for my 30 rd P-mags, I shot 'em all up and threw away the empties. They can check with Rep. DeGette for the particulars on that.

All I can say is if you are from CO, vote those Progressive Socialists out this next time, or you will be forced to move west, north, east or south.

It is nationwide. Our representatives are reprehensible and do not represent the people. I give you Senator Mark Pryor, (D) Arkansas in 2008.

I don't always have nothing to say, but when I do, I post it on Facebook.

How did she get elected? Well here in Wisconsin we got Gwen Moore she did not know that Arizona shares a border with Mexico.
Just can't believe that these people ( the ones that sponsor bills) don't even research the material before writing a bill. How can they help us if they can't determine whats broke.

It is really hard to believe a state with so much gun history can drop this low
and the comment about NOT having to pass an IQ test for senate is right on, most as I
    see COULD NOT.

Ignorance, stupidity and incompetence all wrapped up in one person - perfect. I was ticked off enough to send her a nice note on her congressional e-mail. I doubt she will read it, but it felt good.

    Dear Ms. DeGette:

If I understand it correctly, you proclaim that you are the house sponsor of the “High Capacity Magazine Ban” – which really applies to standard capacity magazines. In your recent comments at a forum put on by the Denver Post, in response to a perfectly reasonable question asked by a reported about how you would deal with existing magazines that would, according to your bill, no longer be allowed to be made, you stated that once the magazine had been shot, it would decrease the supply of magazines. In fact your quote is as follows:

“I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those now they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”

Since that event, your office has attempted to cover your ignorance by saying you misspoke and that you know how a magazine works. This feeble attempt to cover your ignorance is laughable at best as nobody who actually knows how a magazine works would ever say they are used up once the bullets are shot.

In addition to ignorance of how firearms work – which is fixable by becoming educated on the subject, I will assert that you are stupid. This stupidity is not that you don’t know how a gun works, but that you sponsored legislation, at the national level, related to a subject about which you were clearly ignorant and, therefore, incompetent to address.

I just wanted to thank you for giving those of us who actually understand and support the Constitution such a glaring glimpse into the world of those who do not.

    Sincerely,
