Quote of the year. From LA, no less!

Once I find an actual link, I'll post it. But here's the quote:

"Frankly, I don't know what it is about California, but we seem to have a strange urge to elect really obnoxious women to high office. I'm not bragging, you understand, but no other state, including Maine, even comes close. When it comes to sending left-wing dingbats to Washington, we're Number One. There's no getting around the fact that the last time anyone saw the likes of Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Maxine Waters, and Nancy Pelosi, they were stirring a cauldron when the curtain went up on 'Macbeth'. The four of them are like jackasses who happen to possess the gift of blab. You don't know if you should condemn them for their stupidity or simply marvel at their ability to form words."

I think someone is going to get called into the managing editor's office for a meeting!

Unfortunately for Wisconsin, we can raise them Gwen Moore (D-Tree Stump-Milwaukee) and Tammi Baldwin (D-Back Bench-Madison).

sadly Gwen Moore and Tammy B are one step left of Nancy,Barbara, Diane and Maxine. Only other one out there thats fits this group is Diana DeGette of Colorado. How in the world do these people get elected?

    they were stirring a cauldron
They've got to be putting something in the water.
The situation will NEVER BE THE WAY YOU WANT, it WILL BE THE WAY IT IS. You must be FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO ADAPT and just "DEAL WITH IT".

Very astute observation by that columnist. And just remember, my statesmen voted (mostly) for them...

Closed. Political. Even though I love the quote.

"He went on two legs, wore clothes and was a human being, but nevertheless he was in reality a wolf of the Steppes. He had learned a good deal . . . and was a fairly clever fellow. What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."
