Republicans say U.S. headed toward ‘armed revolution’: Poll

    By Cheryl K. Chumley - The Washington Times, May 2, 2013, 06:50AM

A survey of Republicans found nearly half agreed that “an armed revolution in order to protect liberties might be necessary in the next few years.”

The poll, from Farleigh Dickinson University’s Public Mind, surveyed a random sampling of 863 registered voters and had a margin of error of plus-minus 3.4 percentage points.

A lot of people, a lot more than this forum, are worried about armed conflict over the current attacks on the Constitution.

Since it would seem that a certain segment of our Government has been subverted by socialists, it wouldn't surprise me a bit. The government isn't by itself in buying up lots of guns and ammo, those that are paying attention in the civilian population are doing the same.
A lot of people, a lot more than this forum, are worried about armed conflict over the current attacks on the Constitution.
If you aren't, then you aren't paying attention...

Ahhhh, wonderful; yet another poll!..AND, by such a reliable source with a track record of delivering nothing but the truth. (Insert sarcasm here)

True or not; the article continues along the same path desired by the socialist agenda; that being to marginalize/demonize law abiding gun owners.

There is a palpable uneasiness among American people, like I've never experienced before. The only other thing that I remember that was similar to this was the Cuban Missile Crisis when I was a kid.

I'm surprised at the number of people who mention to me about their uneasiness over Washington D.C., their financials, food, terrorists, and general well-being and stability of the U.S. Most of these people, I've known for years, and they bring up SHTF philosophy that is not necessarily characteristic of them. They've been reading/studying! One friend of mine was just telling me about his perceived risk in using a safety deposit box. He said, "If things crashed, you couldn't bring enough guns with you to the bank to open your box". He's probably right, and he's been thinking.

I don't know about an armed revolution, and I hope it doesn't happen, but I do hope a voter revolution occurs in 2014. That is the ultimate cure for the malady we have going on now.

I'm feeling the same thing as ppkheat, there is definitely a current of uneasiness and dissatisfaction. I would hope that the voter revolution would put us back on the right course.
I'm in favor of gun control -- I think every citizen should have control of a gun.
