the CAGE unit now has the name of every single person in the United States who, since 1992, lawfully purchased more than one handgun in the period of a week.
Now that would be a neat trick , since that information is not compiled in a single source anywhere in america . in fact iirc its illegal to compile it . Not even BATFE may legaly maintain a database on it .

Don't believe everything you read, didn't your mother tell you that.

When you fill out the little yellow form, the dealer holds onto that information in the case that the atf will need to look at it. They do not submit the form to any government agency, therefore, that record is in no database anywhere.

Where do people come up with this b.s.. These people are as scary as the folks on the other side of issue.

Just a curiosity since I have never lived in Illinois, or even visited Chicago, what is a FOID card?

I think that the bs flag needs to be thrown by the field judge on this one and a 15 yard penalty be gives for excessive manure on the playing field.

Note that they said multiple handguns...
Thanks to a ruling by a liberal federal judge, the CAGE unit now has the name of every single person in the United States who, since 1992, lawfully purchased more than one handgun in the period of a week.
If multiple handguns are purchased, there is another form that is sent in...

"A licensee shall prepare and submit the Form 3310.4 whenever the licensee sells or otherwise disposes of, at one time or during any five consecutive business days, two or more pistols, or revolvers, or any combination or pistols and revolvers totaling two or more, to an unlicensed person."

    Here's the form...

Maybe they should have put "from a single dealer" at the end of the sentence, but they didn't.

Anyway it is good that this tread will die its needed death.

JT I am well aware of the form , but it in no way changes what i posted , they can file the form for future batfe investigations , but they cannot enter it into a database , nor i belive release it without a court order that ( which requires it to be pertinant to an ongoing criminal investigation) must be issued before anyone else sees the info in any fashon .

I didn’t say the report about CAGE getting the names was true or that the names were stored in a database. I was simply pointing out that there is a form that is sent in to the BATF. That’s why I quoted farronwolf’s reply, and not yours.

I personaly belive that they are followed too . Our gvt is a seive , it leaks info faster than a firehose pushes water , if they were databasing us we would know it by now .
