Title: New campaign compares gun control to anti-LGBT discrimination

A new campaign cropping up around Washington state is intended to strike a chord with gay and lesbian gun owners by comparing gun control to anti-LGBT discrimination.

The illustrated posters feature slogans like, “We won our right to marry, now it’s time to defend our right! And we sure as hell aren’t going to take **** from homophobes in the process!” and, “Some people dislike gays. Others dislike guns. We should not base our laws on personal dislikes.”

A QR code on the ads directs curious readers to an anti–gun control website that calls armed self-defense a human right and offers quizzes with questions like:

Where are the metrics, stats, polls, that shows this is effective? Effective denotes that something is working, not that one agrees with an ad or the style of it.
EDIT: I will pass this on to my niece....see what she thinks. But, from previous converations in the past it won;t chnage the way she votes. If a politician is pro 2a but against gay marriage or other LGBT issues she will not vote for them. (She is a gun owner)
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

    I don't understand.

I'm also against gay marriage. I'm OK with civil unions mostly for the legal aspects.

    I also own guns.

This just sounds like smoke and mirrors to me.
I'm just a spoke in the wheel but not a big deal.

It does fit in with the original intention of gun control as a means of discrimination against certain groups or people.

Well, since the antis say that while the volume of guns sold is going up, the actual numbers of gun owners is going down... and we used to be near 50% in this country...

We deserve treatment as a protected minority...

They say we cling to our guns and religion... and infer that our religion is guns... our right to worship (our guns) should not be abridged.

We let people carry representation of their right to free speech wherever they wish (cell phones, tablets, laptops).

We should be allowed to carry our representation of the right to keep and bear firearms wherever we wish. (guns, guns, and more gosh darn guns).

No one would dare accost someone for carrying a Koran, a Bible, a Gita, etc. Why should we be vilified for carrying our icon?

Bibles, Korans, and other religious teachings, have been responsible for more death and destruction than any firearms.

We can't discuss religion or politics on this site.... I think we ought to change it to the only religion we can talk about is GUNS... And we should apply for tax free status as a church in the meantime... as should every gun shop.

They wanna have their cake and eat it too... it's one way or the other folks.
    Rats!
    It could be worse!
    I suppose

Not going to comment on the lifestyle, but since a good portion vote democrat, I hope they can change the overall views of that party.

This is not the forum where I need to comment on folks who feel they have to throw their personal sexual preferences in everyone's face. You're either fer or agin gun control. The rest is another topic altogether.
