I wish our Sen. Flake would do the same. I can't watch the TVs at the gym or fire up the 'net here (Phx area) withour being bombarded by the MAIG anti-Flake ads. I'm disgusted by the misinformation being spewed by Bloomie's lap dogs.

I don't buy into the stats and polls that Senators who voted against background checks lost ground. In the end, they will be seen as supporting the 2A. People in this country are upset over the over-reach by the Progressive Left against the 2A.
Socialism Kills! Time proven, with a very large body count! We are a Constitutional Republic....... not a Democracy, get it correct!

People... How many People? There are reportedly less than 100,000,000 gun owners in this country (as many as 80mm according to 2010 census. So add a few million for hard core non-reporters) At best that's 30-34% of the adult population... of the VOTING population. If the NRA has reached its goal of 4mm members, that's only about 4% of the gun owners that actively support the largest pro gun organization in the country. Add a few folks like me who donate to NRA and others but are not members (few, and rare, methinks).

Iowa boasts one of the highest rates of CCW permits amongst the adult population... ~ 1 in 10 according to the Gov't. Acct'g. Ofc. I know about 10 of those people... personally. I am the only one who carries. The rest have their permits to make it convenient to go to the range (if they ever do), and make sure that they don't have to worry about having all the transport rules followed correctly... ( and that isn't hard in Iowa, anyway).

Hopefully, if you can include the overreach by the gov't into other areas... IRS scrutiny of any specific group, seizure of press records, HIPPA violations coming under ACA, and other violations of rights... There will be enough people appalled by the government that they actually go out and vote...

Only 4% of the people care about the gun issue in the US according to a recent poll (one that we will quote). That translates back to only 4% of the gun owners in this country belonging to NRA. Only 4% (of gun owners) care enough about their gun rights to support the NRA (+ a few like me)... Only 4% of this country care about gun rights at all...

But, and IMO, this is critical, The "BLUES" are more active and vote, and they vote for gun grabbers because gun grabbers are also the ones that approve of providing free phones, free medical care, and free cheese.

Remember that it was (only) Progressive polls saying what the Progressives want to hear. These are the same polls that say gun ownership is in decline, despite every other piece of evidence to the contrary.

What scares me is the "path to citizenship" where illegals are going to become citizens and probably gain the right to vote. Who do you think they'll vote for?
