I don't live in Wisconsin, but if I did, I'd sure be getting involved in a recall effort.

The problem is that these people believe the sensationalism and ignore the facts. 4% of all mass shootings (3 or more victims) use rifles (that includes the evil "assault weapons"). According to the FBI the average number of rounds used for murder is 3. So once again they purpose laws that are not based in reality.

Absolutely has zero, zip, nada chance of passing in the assembly. If it were the senate, I would be a bit worried. Even if it did pass both houses, the governor would never sign it.

OK fellow Wisconsin citizens are you ready to take this on or are you all going to sit on your hands?

I am, with others, begining to petition for a bill such as Kansas SB 102.

We MUST push this rather than letting these loons run our government!

Call you Reps and demand a stay on voting for this bill.

If none of you speak up now I am going to be very dissapointed.

"If it saves just one child". Well if that was true, they would outlaw backyard swimming pools and trampolines, they are harm a lot more children than firearms do. If they really were worried about the children, they would lower the speed limit to about 25, after all vehicles accidents kill and injure many times more children.

So the reality is it is not about the children, or "saving just one child", it is about their agenda.

None of which will halt crimes.

Infringements galore, in direct contravention of the Second Amendment. These liberty-haters aren't seeming to get the message: their oath-breaking ways and back-room deals are destroying our liberties as a free people.

Time to turn the furnace on "hi" and hold their feet to the fire ... each and every one of them. Recalls, or otherwise. Eject 'em all, and grille the dickens out of every sorry candidate who dares set foot on the stage to touch our reins of administration and legislation prior to letting them anywhere near those reins.

Agreed - You've got to love Gov. Walker. Still, it's time to start sending email and making phone calls to keep things from getting to that point.

This bill is sponsored by six or seven democrats who are in the minority in both houses of the legislature through the 2014 elections. Barring an epic meltdown by the republicans, they will likely stay in the minority. The Assembly has such a large margin, they probably cannot retake in in 2014 or 2016, especially since they could not make gains in 2012. Obama and Baldwin may have won, but the low information voters did not go down ballot. The Senate is more problematic. The dems have one seat they have a decent chance of taking, but the current republican is usually siding with the dems anyway, especially on the big items. The republicans are sure to take back another Senate seat since the current dem does not live in the district and only won the recall when our state election boards said the recall would be run in the old district. So basically, the City of Racine elected a Dem whose term is up in 2014, his new district does not contain the City of Racine and is much more conservative. The senator who lost the recalll by 700 votes with lots of suspicous activity in Racine is already running and will cruise since the dems cannot rely on shenanagens from the City of Racine this time. The 18-15 majority should stay in place. Plus we have the Governor's office, and the Dems have no real candidates to run against him.

The legislators proposing this are just being reactive democrats endulging themselves and their base because they all hate guns.

The lesson for all us Wisconsinites is to never let the Democrats get control of the majority/majorities in the Legislature because all democrats do not believe in the right to bear arms or self defense, period. Those like Pryor are done in the Democratic party, their purity purge on 2A is well underway, so if you believe in the 2nd Amendment, but vote for a democrat, you are voting against the 2nd Amendment. It is as simple as that.
