WI ASSEMBLYMAN introduces FIREARMS PROTECTION ACT :)

A Wisconsin legislator has proposed something he calls the "Firearms Freedom Act."
    Key pieces of the bill:

    • Would prohibit enforcement of laws restricting semi-auto firearms, mags or accessories
    • Firearms made in Wisconsin (are there any?) must have "Made In Wisconsin" stamped into the metal
    • Would prohibit physicians (except psychiatrists) from inquiring about possession of firearms in the home or require the patient to disclose that information before treatment -- unless patient gives consent for physician to ask

"This bill, the Firearms Freedom Act, sends a simple message to the federal government," said Wisconsin Assemblyman Michael Schraa in a statement. "Wisconsin will not help you take away our Second Amendment rights."

Not sure of how that will fly with the feds, but Schraa mentions the 2nd, 9th, and 10th Amendment of the US Constitution and Article I, Sec. 25 of Wisconsin Constitution (Wisconsin's RKBA clause) in his bill.

Article in Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel (Not a very gun-friendly newspaper, for those of you outside the greater Milwaukee area)

    Link to proposed legislation

Not sure of the support this will have at this point in the Wisconsin Legislature.

Thanks for the post. If we call and demand our reps vote for it then that will answer your question.

The article was poorly done, IMO. We deffinately know that the The Milwaukee Journal is Far left on almost every article they publish.

We need to spread this around and contact our State Representatives.

Here is the link to find yours if you don't already have it.

Thureon Defense out of New Holstein. Hickok45 did a video of their 9mm carbine. They're not exactly S&W or Ruger, but just saying.
