Gun Control Doesn't Work in Germany?

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20061121/...many_school_dc

Surprisingly, their strict gun control laws didn't stop this school shooting. I thought it was just Americans who had those because guns are so easy to acquire.

Maybe now people will wake up.

Hahahaha, no. They'll just call for "tougher" gun laws.

Cynicism and sarcasm aside - and I'm always tempted to exploit them in such situations - it is as ever the demonstration that no amount of gun control will prevent such events.

We know it and probably so also do gun grabbers - but they won't admit it as their 'agenda' will not allow that.

Added in it also is blaming violent computer games - but it seems this young nutjob was at least one brick short of a full load anyways and mention was made of previous weapons violations.

They will always be unstable people - and to them and BG's in general, where there is a will there is way, to aquire guns or any weapons pretty much.

27 people wounded - sounds like one heck of a spree before he topped himself.

I thought it was icing on the cake that he was due in court the next day for weapons charges.

This one took place in 2002 in Germany. 18 dead that time.

Dunblane (in Scotland) had 16 dead.

Columbine had 12 students, a teacher and the killers dead. (15)

Amazing. The U.S. is "awash" with guns, and two countries with STRINGENT gun control had school shootings that had higher death tolls than our highest.

At least they're blaming violent video games and not guns.
    Still stupid. Blame the perp!

Of course someone blames the video games. Civilian gun ownership has already been banned for all practical puposes. Just shows that sheeple do not have a valid point. Gun control does not work, and when they can no longer deny it, they just find something else to blame. When ego-shooters are banned, it will be movies and TV shows. Then books. I think the introduction of Newspeak is the next logical step. Dog forbid we hold people responsible for their actions.

Subjects of "civilized" European countries just behave that way. Something bad happens and they demand that the government must do something, anything, about it.

When the subject comes up in conversation, I just claim that it is a hoax. Germany specifically outlawed the evil guns so that a tragedy like that can't happen here. Doesn't make anyone change their minds, but at least it makes a few people think.
