I wonder how many ammo manufacturers are going to tell NYS to go Find ammo somewhere else.I guess if they quit selling ammo there then the LEO's will be carrying paintball guns before long

You have to remember, with this comes the micro stamping requirement for all guns. So it's not just ammo it's guns.

They could in fact piss off manufacturers to the point no one will ship ammo OR guns to NY, effectively banning new gun sales without actually banning them.

Given the way things are rolling in NY, that would probably be fine with some politicians if no new guns were allowed in :(

    Yup.

About the only real leverage is going to be if all manufacturers and distributors of firearms and ammo tell "the system" to pound sand, via refusing to sell anything to the political machine in NY state. Let them go peddling their needs in Croatia or Iraq instead. Though, it's uncertain just how much leverage that would actually be. Plenty of other sources, worldwide, particularly for an enterprising and wealthy socialist nanny state like NY.

In addition, it's about time every single arms/ammo maker within the state eject to a liberty-friendly state elsewhere. It's been time for quite a long while, now. Time to make liberty hatred by our hirelings sting very, very badly ... and permanently.

Nope...can't use paintballs, they could be considered discriminatory based on the color of the paintball. They will have to be filled with a clear liquid and scented with tropical fragrances and a hint of lilac.

In fact, if they have to use their "fragranced-felon-foulers" they will have to do so blindfolded so as not to single out one 'non-descript-socially-challenged-victim-of-society' turn criminal over any other person.

I guess they've realized that removing ammo from the state is effective gun control for those who obey the law.

I bet that bill will exclude law enforcement. It will have to if it doesn't want to disarm the cops.

How does this apply to reloads?

Don't forget, If they manage to ban guns without actually banning guns, and they see a reduction in crime (whether correlating directly, or indirectly) it will be used as a test case to sell this kind of crap to other states.

Going to create an underground flow of ammo into NY. I doubt any ammo manufacturing is going to make special "coded" ammo to sell in NY.

I know a lot of NY's would stock up on basically tax free cigarettes when here (NC) to take back to NY. Often buying them for friends or family, even if they didn't smoke.

I'm sure once they get the bill passed on loaded ammo, they will expand it to components.

I predicted this a long time ago and expect it is with Obama's blessings. He cannot successfully buck the NRA but what good is a gun without ammo. In fact I have always believed that the ammo shortage is in part, part of this plan. This administration will not be satisfied until America is disarmed.

I expect they will, under this legislation, consider reloaders to be manufacturers and require them to adhere to the same "coding" requirements.
