As if they'll give a straight answer. Time to start electing politicians that aren't afraid of defunding/dismantling agencies like this.

I think they're part of the DoD, so you can forget defunding.

Anyone who thinks they don't already have a gun owner database is living in total denial.

    NSA Collecting GUN data?
With a full internet/telecomm data suck, anything's possible, even likely, given the right politically-inspired, liberty-hating agenda. We got plenty of those, in this current crop of vampires we keep electing. So, while it's possible it's just beneath the radar right now, without an active "sucker" compiling and analyzing the data, it's by no means incapable of being done, at least insofar as one's traceable/trackable history is visible via that data slurp (~2003+).

Given all the other crap we are aware of, it's naive in the extreme, IMO, to imagine such things absolutely aren't done.

When you buy a gun, you have to fill out some paperwork, yes? You think that's all destroyed? Hahahaha.

The hirelings are no longer in the business of answering to the people; haven't been, for a few decades now. They're in the controlling-the-people business. Anything's possible, until we, the People, turn it around.

Liars, cheaters and thieves, in so many respects.

Well in some states no you dont if you buy from or sell to individuals. No paper no record except for the poor guy that bought the gun from a shop. Which is why supporting individual sales having to go thru a FFL dealer is such a beyond bad idea.

Unfortunately that statement is more true than most people realize. And the only way to turn it around is by use of the ballot box (if that will even work).

The problem there is that most people are either still oblivious to this sort of monitoring or -- even worse -- are ok with it because "if you're not doing anything bad, what do you have to worry about?" That argument causes my head to explode.
