California lawmakers pass semi-auto rifle ban

Looks like the Republic of Kalifornia has done it again. No more evil black rifle sales.

Sales of semi-automatic rifles with removable magazines would be banned in California under a bill passed by the Democratic-led state legislature on Tuesday, and those who already own such weapons would have to register them.

One more step along the path of total ban. And registration.

And Governor Moonbat will sign it, sure as sunshine.

And "they" claim bans and registration aren't the ultimate goal. Ultimately, they are. The wicked witch said so, back when, and the playbook is being played out for all those with eyes to see.

Unconstitutional, to the last. Not that any of those hirelings or court folk seem to care. Sad, what we're becoming. "Sheep" is a good word. "Serfs" is perhaps a better word.

Side note: Peeve of mine - these "reporters" never link to the text of the law that was passed, making it more difficult for me to determine whether they are accurately reporting the effects of the law. Man, I really hate that.

EDIT: Only applies to centerfire rifles and certain pistols....

I thought they were already banned; you need the "bullet button" rifles in CA. Do they consider "bullet button" rifles to have removable magazines?

    It's Sen. Yee's SB374, apparently: click.

Here is the bill text, as amended (so far): click.

10rd+ external detachable magazines, semi-automatic: registration scheme; and new sales banned.

Idiots. We need border patrol to move from Mexico to California to keep them from infiltrating the rest of the US.

Cheese and biscuits! Forget "shall not be infringed", this doesn't respect "in common use".
