Here's how I see it: These parents were anti gun to begin with. Deep down they know this legislation will not solve the problem or prevent it from occurring, but they are going to use their own tragedy as leverage to push for the kind of anti gun legislation that they would vote for regardless. I'm willing to bet that if there are any parents who suffered in this tragic event that are pro gun conservatives, they are pushing to arm the teachers because they understand that that might be the only thing that may prevent this sort of thing in the future. Just my 2 cents.

"None of this legislation that's been proposed would have changed the events that happened in their town," said Dan Issler. "We use guns to protect everybody but our school children and we think the right answer is to make them susceptible to danger by making it a gun free zone. It doesn't make any sense."
    Well said.

So long as they have Obama, Biden, and the rest of the Fourth Reich asking them to be symbols, they will continue to be symbols.

They will always have my sympathy, but not my respect, if they keep this up.

Wait until December 14th. Then they'll REALLY juice it.

Still dancing on their kids corpses with some "help" from Doomberg and others of his ilk. Terrible tragedy, horrific crime yet those kids would be just as dead from a bus accident. Fact is those little angels were in far more danger from all the "progressive.it's.for.the.children." programming than from any of us.(Thank you Joe Biden) The parents, in the their minds know this, but as long as their emotions are flogged, this will continue. And yes, I have some skin in this game ,not, thank God, in "progressive" slave state Connecticut.

Am I heartless? No, Am I saying anything untrue? No. Am I sorry the shooter did not fall into the hands of angry parents? Yes.

One of the things that really bothers me is,i wonder if these people realize, what the UBC lead to,when other countries started that? Some probably do,but that's just a guess.

What i may or may not have,is no one's business except mine.

I would not be surprised to learn these people are being paid to continue their pitiful media blitz. Most likely from some of the deep pocket antis. And the parents in the limelight, might be enjoying they're new found spotlight. I in no way wish to disrespect the victims of this terrible event. But in a way they are being dissed by those using them to further their own agendas.

They had the same beliefs prior to the tragety. Now they have a much larger soap box from which to expouse those previously held beliefs.

Oh i really believe they are getting something out of this.Limelight, publicity, look at me on tv.They act like they are the only ones that has ever lost someone, and they are going to be the saviours.

They do have the right to say what they want, but they are pathetic and sickening. If that's disrespectful,so be it.

They cannot see it because they have willed themselves a fatal ignorance . They will wail and wallow in their angels blood until they become superfluous to Bathhouse Barry and his agenda

I have great sympathy for the families and the poor kids. The whole thing breaks my heart.

I'm also saddened, because I believe that this tragedy is being used by some as a "hot button" issue to only promote a gun control agenda. If one's agenda only includes gun control and not really putting meaningful protection in place, then leaving kids at risk exposes them to yet another copycat tragedy. Predictably, after another tragedy happens then they can point their fingers and place blame again on the "gun owners". Repeating these tragedies a few more times (or one more time) and they'll get the gun control laws they desire. I hope I'm wrong and that no one would ever be this devious and sinister, but these days I keep thinking I've seen it all........but I know I haven't.

I've got three grandsons who could be vulnerable, I would feel much better knowing there was an ample realistic armed deterrent on their school grounds.

    I can't wait until 2014 and 2016 election days !

Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

I have sympathy for their loss, but none for being political shills. That being said, my thoughts on them revisiting this dialog:

"I can't be a good role model to my surviving son Jake or honor my son Dylan or the others that died with him without doing something that makes this a senseless tragedy to something that prevents other deaths," Nicole Hockley, Daniel's mother said.
The thing is, you're not going to prevent any other deaths though...
