Prior Service Army Infantry, NEED LEGAL HELP!!!

6 years Army Infantry, Iraq & Afghan 30 months Deployed with Combat & a hell of a background, now a civilian past 1.5 years. They're trying to take my Registered Weatherby bolt action 30/06 & threatening my gun rights!
They are; as in xxxxxxxx County Court, WA... & why?

I joined the Army, Voted, & bought & Registered a firearm while home from Iraq. No questions asked... Until now.

Isn't there some law(s) about a soldier able to own a firearm even after a previous offense prior to enlistment? Please inform me about anyway I can counter this Prosecutor!

Yea this isn't a "Secure" website n' all but I need answers to my questions & its not as if anyone has my foot size narrowed down by my Info. Yes, I FULLY understand I need a REAL lawyer, but obviously the system is bent & all the court cares about is my money... Which I don't have, even for a real Lawyer.

I certainly respect your service to our country , but...

I would not be putting all this info on the iNet, and the only person you should be asking for assistance from is an A T T O R N E Y !!!!!

This here... we are not lawyers, but I did stay at a holiday inn a few years ago. You need the professional assistance a lawyer specializing in these matters can provide... not "advice" from us computer jockeys who the closest we got to law school was D.A.R.E classes in grade school back in the day.

    This caught my attention.
Please don't tell us why you weren't supposed to be driving and why you drove when you weren't supposed to.

    We'll guess.

Meanwhile, in addition to what Retsupt said, maybe you can ask one of the mods to delete your post and this thread.
No one here can help you as well as your own attorney. Anything you post here the DA might find and use against you.

If the Union is once severed, the line of separation will grow wider and wider, and the controversies which are now debated and settled in the halls of legislation will then be tried in fields of battle and determined by the sword.

I understand OPSEC (Operation Security) & yes, I am going a little over my boundaries but I'm only trying to throw in enough info to stir the pot to answer my questions. I'm sure someone here could or will eventually send me a link, info, &/or idea. My credit or personal info is still safe I believe.

I understand where you are coming from, but the point being made is this is a serious legal matter. We are not lawyers. The help and answers you need, we are not qualified to give. The only lawyer I know specialises in business law, specificaly copyright infringement..... he isnt much help. I suggest taking a look in the phone book and contacting a criminal defense attorney, give him the rundown and see who he or she would recommend, if not themselves. Its hard to know where to start, but this is not the right place. As far as putting your info out there, I have to agree with others this is DEFINITELY the wrong place for that... what you post here is public information... and you incriminated yourself in the first paragraph. I also suggest contacting a mod and asking that this thread be deleted as a safeguard.

I'd start hitting up every veterans organization and see if any of them have legal aid, or they know of other veterans groups that do.

Thank you for the "contacting a mod" info, I figured I could just delete this on my own after a couple days of brainstorming this topic.

I'm trying to contact the NRA but it's making me join for a $35 1 yr membership, I can't find any Forum NRA sites... ?

Only option you have is a lawyer. They can go behind closed doors and work it out DA is not going to work with you.
    DA's don't like you get a lawyer

You've gotten some excellent advice. You need to stop worrying about getting advice from the NRA, they're only interested in selling you something and getting your money. Get yourself a lawyer who can help you.

I will echo the others and suggest a lawyer, I did serve once as a juror in a double murder trial and believe me when they say anything you say can and will be used against you it WILL be.

There are reasons why I often do not even open these types of posts, let alone comment.

Thank you for your service! You have my absolute respect for that!
