    Washington Post
By the Recalled Queen herself - Giron.
    Date - Assume 9/22/13

My Comments: She is whining as sore loosers do. She is looking for her next gravy train meaning she wants MAIG or Bloomberg to pay her bills to fight scary black guns. Her point that she and her anti 2A ilk won is priceless. This was proved this week all over the country as only the BigO and a couple of career gun grabbers (Fineswine and Dirty Harry) wanted to talk gun control.......... pathetic. Anyway, in her whining (smuggness), she has given the PRO 2A the exact next step in in the strategic plan to repealing the just passed laws in CO, and possibly CT.

Someone in her immediate family, who hopefully is more rational than she, should point out to her that she was 'targeted' for being stupid, not correct.

As a state legislator now branded by the word “recalled,” I can identify with that weariness. Gun legislation has stalled in Congress because lawmakers fear the fate I suffered — being targeted, voted out or recalled by extremist political activists because of views on firearms safety that dare challenge the gun lobby. The recall fight that my colleague, Colorado Senate President John Morse, and I lost demonstrated that no matter the cost of our political positions, common-sense gun-safety legislation is achievable. Colorado’s newest gun-safety laws have been in effect for months, and the recalls have no bearing on them. The legislation we helped pass proves that the gun lobby can be beaten.

She's a worthless pile and if we really took our Constitution as seriously as we should be, she'd already be hanging for treason. What a disgusting, miserable excuse for a human being.

She's trying to find a "moral victory" in that the laws passed in Colorado will not be repealed because the Democrats still have the state senate and governor's chair. If this issue can resonate into 2014 state politics and the Democrats pay a further price with losses in the Legislature, then she's dead wrong. She's half wrong because it sounds like the vast majority of the laws are not being enforces except in areas around Denver

The "recall" fight King George suffered in the late 18th Century shows that no matter the cost of the political positions, smugness and tyranny involved, common sense is indeed achievable. Caution is due.

I copied this from a post in the Armed Badger and I thought was great. Just goes to show you the ignorance

(the NRA contributed at least $362,000 to oust the two lawmakers; Bloomberg spent $350,000 to support them).

I take offense to the highlight of the words "at least". The article fails to mention that the antigunners outspent the recall movement by a ratio of 7 to 1.
It also bothers me that the Denver Post editorializes...

It was "an instance when recalls were used against elected officials not for malfeasance or corruption in office but for simply voting their consciences."
We have repeatedly said it was inappropriate to launch recalls against Morse and Giron simply for their votes instead of waiting one year for regular elections. It was also a colossal waste of taxpayer money that ran well into six figures.... It's time to move on. It is not time, for either side, to ponder more ways to use the recall process to undermine our system of regular, democratic elections. Enough already. [Denver Post]

yet had no problem writing article after article supporting the Walker recall a few years back.

I had to laugh, remembering what Gov. Hickenlooper said last May. He was trying to show support for the two senators being recalled.

Hickenlooper says "The lawmakers should not back away from the issues, make their points strongly and get the word out." He says those are all lessons to be taken from Walker's successful defeat of the 2012 recall.

ANGLICO redacted some text here. My apologies in that I might have been a slight out of bounds - but if you did not see it, then I am OK. Now, on to the normal programming.

Gov. Hickenlooper is 'Political Tost' next year. All Politics are Local!

Now is the time to dig in and fight people! Couple of bucks here, a lot of phone calls there... getting out and being seen and voicing your opinions is what is needed, now. Just my humble opinion.

Throw in claims of "voter suppression" and that's almost exactly what Giron said on air shortly after the recall.

Not sure what's up lately, but there's been a lot of posts that haven't had a "like" button and this is one of them. I agree 100%, brother. I called and e-mailed my butt off and will continue to do so for anywhere necessary. "They" don't know I'm not a resident or whether I really do or don't vacation there multiple times a year.

She can claim they won for now because the laws are still in effect, but that will not last.

That kind of rhetoric is why people call us "gun nuts". She legally put a law in to effect, we legally removed her from office. That is the way our Constitutional government is suppose to work.

At the end of the day "Money Talks" and now is the time to dig the two bits out of the couch and cash them in for 2014!
