These sensationalist news "stories" from sources with a definite agenda don't really serve our side very well. If the school has a policy against shirts that advertise, shirts that have guns, etc., then just don't wear them! It truly is that simple. Purposely wearing them to spark a confrontation, and sites like Breitbart using them for their own financial advantage, is just as bad as the MSM and their leftist propaganda.
Neither is welcome.

They wanted her to run around nakked?! Just goes to show you how peverted the CA school administrators are!
OK, this is the Regressive Progressive Leftist Agenda of 'nudging' a new generation of USA youth to fear and loath firearms. Indoctrination! SUE! Make them sweat and pay $$!
Use the Regressivly Progressivly ACLU to do the dirty work! Fair is fair!

This type of attempted mind-control will hopefully backfire.
I find it somewhat amusing that our youth are being rebellious by embracing their constitutional rights and freedom of religion. Our church youth group membership is exploding. We also do a Wed night father/son/daughter skeet shooting event.

Kind of funny and ironic that youth are going to rebel regardless of the issue. So, if they happen to want to rebel to to right, reinforce that movement!

I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

Schools bar all manner of stuff from kids clothing, and put limits on all manner of dress. About 20 years ago
I was discussing something with a guidance counselor when I volunteered to serve as a judge for a debating team.
I learned that certain symbols I thought were innocent were gang insignia.
The schools are darned if the do and darned if they don't.
IF they have a policy that is written, clear, unambiguous and was distributed on day 1 of school, it should be enforced.
I do take exception to enforcing these sorts of policies against HS Seniors who are already 18, but then I also think
the curriculum needs revision so no 18 y.o. is still in public school.
If the Union is once severed, the line of separation will grow wider and wider, and the controversies which are now debated and settled in the halls of legislation will then be tried in fields of battle and determined by the sword.

Sounds like her father is a sharp guy and willing to spend the money to make a legal issue out of it :
"In response, Bullwinkle's father has retained an attorney, citing the fact that the drill team twirls fake guns in their performances.
Her father also cited the fact that the school's "mascot is a Comanche," saying: "If you consider... the image of the hunter to be offensive, certainly there are groups that would consider the Comanche Indian Chief [mascot] to be offensive."

Kids can wear "Gay Pride", "Proud Muslim" and "Che" shirts and no one would dare say a word.
"NRA", "God Bless America" or "Pop Tarts Forever" will ruin childrens' education. But not in the Heartland, We grab a hold of our Guns & Bibles.
Kids can't open carry at school, though.

Ridiculous. This is getting way out of control.
And I like the fact that the father is going after the school about them thinking a silhouette of a Hunter being offensive when their school mascot is a Comanche Indian war chief...

So "The shirt "shows a buck, an American flag, and a hunter's silhouette." Under this is inscribed: "National Rifle Association of America: Protecting America's Traditions Since 1871." So I am wondering what part of this is offensive, violent, or divisive. Oh wait--there is a hunter. I suppose these folks have no idea of the violence visited upon a hapless cow before it becomes a Big Mac (or a burger served in the school cafeteria). Just sayin'............
