California's got preemption in the area of arms/ammo, in the statutes, I believe. While it could be sticky for anyone jerked around by these folks, it'd be a stellar opportunity to get it all shot down in court via a heavy smack-down. Of course, it's California. Politically in the anti-gunner sense of the term, anything's possible.

Look for lots of used magazines to be listed all over the Internet.
It should be a buyers market on used mags for a little while.

The courts will shoot it down. The courts have been very much against confiscation.

Oh I don't know. It's an ordinance and there's what, 6 people in SF who actually own those magazines? Phhh, yeah that's SF mentality on curbing quote, "gun violence." Because we KNOW how much crime down there could have been prevented if only this was an ordinance earlier.

TRAVEL ALERT - I neeed to look into this if San Francisco Airport (SFO) (not physically located in San Francisco City/County - it is in San Mateo County) is going to try the same crap that they do at JFK and the rest of the New York Port/Airport Authority controlled airports on arresting travelers). NOTE: SFPD have juristiction at SFO, so I think the worst is to come of this for travelers leaving SFO.

Granted, it is still legal to declair a weapon at SFO in checked baggage and in compliance with the Specific Air Carrier's rules, but the TSA gives you a personal pain in your watch personal go-over of your weapon (though the last TSA guy was really cool, regardless of the 30 minutes of my time he took up to do a 2 minute job). However - Warning about having Hi-Cap Pistol or Rifle Mags.................... That needs to be looked into. Regardless if the Hi-Caps are 'Grandfathered' in under the current laws (when you are correct with the current laws).

    More to follow.

Agreed. This specifically violates the 2008 Heller decision by banning an entire class of commonly owned firearms. It will not survive the first legal challenge.

Not many people have the $$$ to beat the dead horse allaway to the State Supreme court, much less SCOTUS.
    All that said....

Don't need the money. NRA, GOA, SAF, etc provide the capital, all they need is a person "affected" by the law to be the complainant. Just as with Heller and McDonald.
