There is no way I would go to a Docs office that has this policy. Heck, me and my Doc talk guns every time I am in there. Just last week when I went in for my annual check up and blood work he asked me what I was carrying these days and I showed him the new Glock 23. We talked guns and carry techniques for about 10 minutes.
To heck with these guys. Go to a doctor who understands and supports your rights.

I think that it is the health care mentality in general. When I was in the AF we had requests from the clinic to not carry guns in unless we were responding to an emergency. It took a while to get that changed. I think it took the clinic commander to put his foot down to allow the on duty AF cops to go in armed.
Not all health care professionals feel that way please don’t get me wrong, my CCW instructor said that the class before mine was all doctors. I have known others that were seriously into guns.
