10 K apps, how many will be turned into permits?

Sounds about right. I suspect that Illinois is much like Maryland...outside of Chicago (in our case, Baltimore), the state is relatively safe. If I lived in Baltimore I'd be thinking the same way and would be all the quicker to apply for a carry permit if we could here, just as those in Chicago are surely doing now. This is a small light in the tunnel here for those people, let's hope it gets all the better there.

No one wants national reciprocity. Other than that, glad that my former neighbors are finally getting a chance, albeit restricted, to carry.

Some instructors starting getting electronic approvals of their IL CCLs yesterday. Hopefully the cards ship soon and some of those in Chicago can start to enjoy a little more freedom.

I think a lot of people want it! That is unless you want to keep this patchwork of state licenses. DR

10000 so far. At 54000 (out of a population of 2.7M), they'd be at 2% carriers. To match Florida's 5.2% (1M out of 19M) carriers, Illinois will need to hit 665,000 carriers (5.2% of the 12.8M state-wide pop.). Not bad, for two weeks into the plan.

C'mon, Illinois citizens! We're rootin' for ya.

And we're hoping you get to 665,000 carriers soon ... all the better to even the odds 1:1 against the felons.

49 states recognize my state issued DL. This is an issue invented by anti-gun progressives. Nation wide reciprocity is too easy.

The majority of people who want it are the anti gun law makers.

Think man; think! Do you really want the FED involved in any part of proposed *NEW* gun legislation?

We already fight a patchwork of STATES being divided by this current admin.

As opposed to and over-riding my California politicians? Heck yeah!

BTW, we still have more gun sales than Obamacare signups here.

Hadn't thought of it in this way before. You're right!
