Post Gun Control: A War Not a Conversation; American Thinker: A Call to Vote

Articles: Gun Control: A War Not a Conversation

    This is an excellent read.

This is emphatically a war, and not a conversation. The following, along with the Obamacare debacle ("If you like your Democratic Member of Congress, you can keep him"), are all strong arguments for voting straight Republican in almost every House and Senate contest this year. At the state level, Pennsylvanians need to be aware that potential gubernatorial candidate Allyson Schwartz shares Andrew Cuomo's unethical and dishonest position that gun manufacturers should be held civilly accountable for misuse of their products.
    The main topics are:

The enemy has deployed military-grade hate propaganda against gun owners.

A Blitzkrieg is not a conversation

    Incrementalism is War

Retaliate with the rule of names

Depict enemies of the Second Amendment as common ghouls
Our side cannot have a conversation while their side wages a war. Let us instead follow Lord Clifford's advice to buckle with them blows, twice two for one, in the upcoming election.

Folks either are voting to keep their gun rights, or they are giving them away. There is no middle position anymore.

Seems like the "Conversation" is a one way street to American disarmament. My answer is "NO!!!".

Great article that states what most of us on this forum have known for a long time - there is an all out war on our 2A rights and it is being led, at least in part, by those in the current presidential administration. As I have stated on other threads, I am not a single issue voter but I do see the 2A issue as a key insight into a candidate. The 2A perspective is indicative of how a candidate sees personal freedoms - those who support the 2A are likely to support most if not all personal freedoms.

I've had this signature line for quite a while, and I mean it and preach it daily. I can't do it alone, and glad to know there is plenty of help out there,
Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

When politicians say "We need to talk" it means the same thing as when my wife says it: It means WE need to talk about what I need to do. Nothing good can possibly come from it.

Excellent article, thank you for sharing. It's long past time these people stop getting the benefit of the doubt for being "reasonable" or "meaning well". I'm so fed up with them and their nonsense I can feel the vein in my forehead swelling up just about every time the topic comes up these days.

That's one of the best articles (on the subject) that I've read in a while. Straight to the point, backing up every claim, and calling a spade a spade.

I've never been a single issue voter, but IMO, we've reached a point where you're either voting for freedom, or you're voting it away. The time to have a conversation has certainly came and gone. In fact, it happened long before I was even born. This is by all means a war and it's foolish to think of it as anything else.

Elections have consequences and I strongly feel that my generation has either simply never been aware of it or has forgotten it. I recently asked a large group of friends and others in my age group via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, if they could recall any time or any way that they're life has been directly changed or affected by an election. Aside from those who were Pro-2A, the only thing mentioned was Obamacare. Surely, there's a lot more than that that has effected us in the last 27 years (my age and about most of theirs).

I put equal importance on two issues:

    1. Our RKBA
    2. No amnesty for illegals and enforcing our immigration laws.

    Every other issue is secondary.

I probably have 50 issues I consider among which is 2A. I'm not going to consider a pig's ear a piece of gold simply because the pig
    somehow squealed a pro-2A position.
If the Union is once severed, the line of separation will grow wider and wider, and the controversies which are now debated and settled in the halls of legislation will then be tried in fields of battle and determined by the sword.

Yes, all a play on words: "Conversation" is spelled "C-o-n-f-i-s-c-a-t-i-o-n" just as "Reform" is spelled "A-m-n-e-s-t-y".
Never get out of the boat....
