State-Wide Act of ‘Civil Disobedience’ by Gun Owners

Could this be the modern day "Sons of Liberty"? Will King O revisit the Quartering Act? Will the King' minions again attempt to take the arms of Lexington and Concord?

I apologize for my previous comments about gun owners in Connecticut. This gives me hope!

If the vast number of citizens disapprove of ANY legislation, statute or regulation, isn't that "disobedience" really... Civil OBEDIENCE? We've lost the vision & have forgotten that "they" (legislators) are just a smaller sample of "us". There are not a ruling-class nor determiners of what is for-our-own-good. They are merely the REPRESENTATIVES of the folks who SENT them! Maybe Universal Healthcare should be dealt-with in the same manner 'cause, clearly, Congress is more concerned with political expediency than with what WE WANT.

Read this article and the comments carefully. "....sent [sic] these people letters..." "....15% have complied..." "...for now no aggressive enforcement actions..."

To me, it appears that the State, for the most part, know who have these guns already and the registration process is just a verification of what they generally know.

To not comply is a Class D Felony....which means a serious crime...... and if they have "probable cause" and it would appear that they would because they generally know who and where these guns are and the guns are not registered, then they have everything they need to bust down doors, arrest people and confiscate guns. And because a gun is involved, this won't be a polite knock on the door by two detectives and a request to "Come with me, sir".

Who ever said registration won't lead to confiscation is a fool.

So the dunderheads in the CT legislature are stunned? Really??? Some of us have read our history and understand the precedent for gun registration - and where it leads.

This is exactly what they wanted. Now the gun owners are all criminals, and can be picked off one by one when they dare open their mouths and cause trouble for those in charge.

Awfully reminiscent of the failed Canadian gun registry.

I think it's about time for all of us to Print Out the "US Constitution" and mail it to our Politicians. With Highlights, Diagrams and Pictures showing the pertinent parts they are Ignoring.
(Remember Opy in the Arlo Guthrie Song "Alices Restaurant"?

We have to take control of our Politicians and remind them they work for us!!!!
They have Run Amoke and forgotten that FACT!
Seems they serve themselves and not us anymore..

I would not have a problem with registration, BUT all convicted felons and politicians must register theirs first.

Gator the problem we have today is that the Sons Of Liberty were the media of their day! We now have the Teacher Union as well as the Socialist Propaganda Machine!

Disclaimer: The Opinion of the poster is his and his alone, he will not submit to a re-education camp run by DHS!
