I read the open letter and found the speech in you tube.

Quote: "Silence in the face of tyranny implies consent and I DO NOT CONSENT!"

He broke Holder's Fast & Furious program on the internet.

    Gotta respect the man's cojones.

While I agree with him in spirit, I don't know if talk of open war is really all that helpful. The general population that votes will be turned off by this type of brazen, in-your-face style. I would hazard a guess that most Americans would not accept the idea of civil war over the 2A. Our real opportunity to 'win' against the anti's is to do it in the court of public opinion and through the legal system - I don't think these fronts have been exhausted yet.

Maybe I am just too shielded down here in GA, but I just don't see that we are at the point of open rebellion.

I am all for gun rights and protecting those rights. But we do not get to decide what is a Constitutional law or not, we have a system under the Constitution to do that, we call them the Courts. Saying that you will "defend" yourself with violence because someone wants to enforce a law that you think is wrong is not following the Constitution, it is in direct violation of what we stand for.

You sometimes really do hit the nail. The guys spewing stuff like in this "open letter" are our worst enemy. LE enforcing codified laws is exactly what we want them doing. If you don't like the laws they are sworn to enforce, change the laws.

I'm sure George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson would have been on the SPLC's hit list if they were around in 1776.

Obviously I agree that anti-gun laws are unjust, but I see a lot of big talk in here about "war" and "enemies" and "tyranny," which sound to me like some armchair rebel basically saying "when I shoot you, it'll be your fault." For all his ostentation of desiring peace, he's far too willing to discuss his plans for murdering his "enemies."
"Yet this government never of itself furthered any enterprise, but by the alacrity with which it got out of the way... The character inherent in the American people has done all that has been accomplished; and it would have done somewhat more, if the government had not sometimes got in its way."

Well further internet searches yield accusations that Michael Brian Vanderboegh is an agent provocateur in the employ of the BATFE

Interesting guy, mighty brave of him to level veiled threats at the Connecticut State Police from the safety of Alabama too!

You're on your own doing research on this though, no way am I linking some of that stuff here :P

The man has guts and backbone, and he's right about one thing:

No legislative act, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid.

The more people I meet, the more I realize that the folks with the most cojones are the old guys. They're made of tuff stuff. They don't cower in the face of adversity. They stand up for what's right.

The CT state police have remained silent about enforcement of "assault weapons" registration in that state.

Vanderboegh is attempting to stir up armed revolt in CT that he can watch from the safety of his abode in the south. Guys like Vanderboegh are idiots.

i simply love this cheap talk about revolution and civil war. If you think so strongly that only revolution can fix the situation then get on with your revolution, talk on internet boards is cheap.

BTW: Don't be surprised if you have few followers.
