    Missouri SB 613 passes in the Senate. Now goes to the House

    It's close to reality. We will see.

    S.B. 613 prohibits Missouri officials from enforcing Obama’s unconstitutional gun bans and gun registration schemes -- and the language even contains penalties for federal officials who attempt to enforce federal gun control laws.
    Moreover, the bill also advances gun rights in the following ways, as it:
    * Lowers the CCW age to 19
    * Provides broader carry opportunities
    * Strengthens self-defense protections
    * Prohibits doctors from complying with ObamaCare’s pressure to release information related to firearms ownership.
    But that’s not all. The bill also allows a school district to designate teachers and staff as “school protection officers.” As such, they could carry concealed firearms to protect the school.

    Wow, now that is some actual positive work by a legislature. Concepts I considered an oxymoron. Will the Governor sign it?

    He didn't sign it the last time; which is why it's back. A few "conservative" turncoats stopped it from being passed into law with the majority vote that it needed.

    I'm hoping they get replaced with a better candidate next go round.

    Democratic Governor Carnahan vetoed our CCW law and was eventually over-rode.

    Anything is possible!

    Makes me wonder how in the world this current governor got elected.

    Oh wait! This is Missouri!

    The only downside I see is that by lowering the CCW age you may have states that refuse to accept your permit.

    For a couple of years now, here in Texas, active duty military above the age of 18 have been able to get their TX CHL. I've yet to see any other State we have reciprocity with not honor a TX CHL because of this. Perhaps it's because no politician want's to be perceived as anti-military and this would be different if it didn't contain the military component. (under TX law, reserves are considered active)

    Those which he, Joe Biden and the Democrat party attempted to enact after Newtown. If you are not aware of OB's effort I'm fairly certain a number of DC members would provide links to credible sources of background information to help inform you.

    The continuing wave of infringements, basically. Now in existence, as well as in future. All of those. For example, the new-and-improved AWB that was pushed for last year, and similar garbage.
