Illinios at it again
Just got information that Illinios State represenatives are to vote on HB4715 that calls for not only the FOID but registration of EVERY firearm and prohi it the sale of amminition unless you show registration for a firearm you own that can fire that specific style and caliber of ammunition.
Guess that fact the with CCW now allowed crime has begun to drop off....so they wish to criminals the upper hand again?

The Illinois State Rifle Association lobbyist says this is going nowhere. Good to keep an eye out for things like this, but nothing to worry about at the moment.

The FOID card is bad enough! I really need to get out of this state!

Great, now the ammunition lines will be clogged with gang bangers just cutting in to show their ID...

Glad I'm stocked up.
This will go no where just like all of the other crap they try and push through the pipe. Illinois has the largest group of idiots assembled in one state.

There is one upside to such a system. You don't have to worry about the ammo supply getting bought out by people who can't actually use it in the first place.
Not a good trade, but it goes to show that you can find a silver lining just about anywhere if you look hard enough.

It's the last gasps of dictatorial legislators, stripped of their power on this topic, clinging to whatever they can, for as long as they can, before the inevitable. There is zero chance of it happening and they full well know it.
Enjoy their death dance on this topic while it lasts. Most entertaining.

I for one often head to the gun store to buy ammo for guns I don't own. This law would surely help me keep myself on track.

California give y'all a run for your money, on that score. At least, in terms of sheer numbers.
