How gun control helped a stalker kill my husband | Fox News

I found this this morning on Fox News. It may be posted elsewhere here, but I couldn't find it. Her story is sad, but she is very eloquent.

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

Horrible story. Sadly, similar keeps playing out over and over in would be gun free zones. Absolutely ridiculous.

Nobody but those of that are already on board will listen, I fear.
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

That is an experience none should have to endure. I hope her message is taken to heart by the people of this nation!

Thanks for posting. If things don't change with some of these ridiculous gun laws, we're all eventually going to have similar scenarios as she. It's a sad, sad world we live in, and it ain't right for one to be afraid to go about his/her business without fear of being harmed or killed. You'd have to be blind, or just flat out stupid to not see what is going on. The thought of our Government wanting to put us in these situations is scary enough.

Her testimony played a huge role in TN passing "restaurant carry" a few years ago. I respect her tremendously.

Quite similar to Suzanna Hupp's story, in which her parents were gunned down in front of her (Luby's Massacre, in TX). State statutes at the time criminalized her for having a sidearm on her, hence she'd left it in her vehicle outside. Cost her her parents' lives.

I don't remember the name but the daughter of a married couple who lost both her parents that fateful day in Luby's Cafeteria
got the law changed in Texas. It took her a few years but she never let up. Her name is Suzanne something. IMHO she's as much a Hero of Texas as Davy Crockett was at the Alamo.

Her book is well worth reading. So is Suzanna Hupp's book "From Luby's to the Legislature". Both of these women have tons of courage and commitment.
