    Chameleon politicians

Was thinking about the upcoming Presidential wannabes, and how some of them are recrafting their images as they pertain to 2A.

While we quite often, and correctly, see this as nothing more than a blatant attempt to appeal to a different audience, is it possible for them to actually change their view based on who they might be representing?

Can an anti-gun mayor of an anti-gun city embrace the 2A on the national stage? And so forth and so on...

If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck and for all of it's life has quacked like a duck, it's a duck. I don't care if it's taken lessons to say "MOO!"

Show me a track record of supporting me and we can talk. Till then the politician in question is just another flip/floper I don't want representing me.

Agreed. Yes, it is possible for a politician to come to the mature conclusion that they were wrong and change their position on an issue. But I'm not going to vote for them because they SAY they changed their position. They are all just too practiced in lying. I have to actually SEE the change.

In my opinion, I'm getting ready for the worst no matter who wins.
I think Pelosi is going to try something.
My buddies all want to buy a ton of guns now before the storm hits.
I wonder what good it's going to do if you have to hand them in some day anyway.
Please correct me if I'm being too paranoid.

I am in dread of what might be .......... but won't go into much depth because this is CC and really, not the place for heavy political stuff.

I can say tho - any trust I might feel is, shall we say - fragile, to the point of extreme brittleness!

I don't want to get into politics on here either, but when discussiing the 2A it's hard to avoid. Let me just say that i heard a certain former mayor speaking today on the 2A. He says he belives that the people have the right to bear arms, then in the same breath he said that the NY gunlaws and assault weapons ban are "useful tools" for law enforcement in major cities.

In other words, the 2A only appiles if he thinks it should or if you live in a low crime rural area. I fyou live in a major city with high crime rates, you can't be trusted with the means to protect yourself. What kind of crap is that????

Politicians bend which ever way the wind blows. They are in it for votes and their party. I believe that they could probably care less about the their constituents. That's both parties folks!!! I'm stocking up, and ask that you consider well all the circumstances before you vote. Party Line voting regardless of side may not be the best way to go. But please, when 2008 comes around exercise your right and vote.

    These are scary times!

Ironically, once again the Democrats will be the best thing to happen to gun sales.

I hope no one runs out and stockpiles guns and ammo. It will only make it more difficult for me.
