Another CO legislative Alert for CCW!

COLORADO LEGISLATIVE ALERT!

HB1174, which creates a central statewide database of personal information of all Colorado CCW permit holders, has passed the Senate Judiciary Committee and will soon be heard on the Senate Floor. It is imperative that you call and email your state senator and urge him/her to oppose this legislation, which will compose a statewide list of gun owners. Since the 2003 concealed carry law was enacted, there have been numerous accounts of abuse by law enforcement of personal information of concealed carry permit holders and the only way such abuse will stop is to allow the current law to sunset as agreed by law enforcement when the current CCW law was passed in 2003. The following senators’ votes will be key…these senators have supported gun owners in the past and it is important to thank them and ask them to continue their support:
