I just paid my NRA membership up to 2010. I think we will need all
the members and cash to fight the other side.

Yes, there are some things the NRA does that I don't agree with. Perhaps too numerous to mention over the past 50 years, but without them we wouldn't be able to own a BB gun, so suck it up and join. If you own a firearm you MUST be an NRA member. I try to sgin up at least two new members every year. If every active member signed up at least one, think how strong we would be.

NRA Lifer here, I may not hunt and agree with all of what they do, but I do own a gun and want to keep it that way.

Pending lifer here, on the EL payment program currently. Hope to pay it off fully next year.

Also, join as many local/state organizations so that your state legislators are also lobbied directly and properly regarding state issues.

Yes, I can't agree more. The NRA does things that I don't agree with, but they do fight so that I may keep my guns. Even cap guns that I'm sure would also be outlawed if not for the NRA, GOA, RKBA, etc.... That's why I became a life member when I turned 18 (than gooness for ELP) and I just steped up to an Endowment member this year.

I think it's also important to become active in your state org. also. Like in Kansas where we have the KS state rifle assoc.
