Yes. If I had my 'druthers, I would have a Benelli R1

in .300 Win Mag. Talk about putting the Fear of God in whatever you were shooting at!

That really is the point- there is no "reasonable" gun control(the R1s and similar will disappear soon as well). The UN (and most professed "liberals") want a maleable, directable populace that cannot do other than what it is told- this is the foundation of Communism/socialism. The "assault guns"pistols and rifles will go first, then licensing for hunters, etc., then storage requirements, et al. There is no great mystery here- look at the models of Britain and Australia.

Did I hear (read) you right? Dubya would SIGN and AWB?

Jeez, I thought he had enough political trouble as things were.

    I can't believe it.

He's a lame duck, he has no reason not to.

Ditto!!!! If you do not have a cease and desist order from your senator and congressman regarding this issue ..... you aren't doing your part.
I have 2 lawyers and 1 doctor representing me in D.C. So far every response from them on 2nd Amendment issues always starts and ends the same..."As an avid hunter and sportsman.... blah blah blah. BUT ......." Now I am no doctor or lawyer but I still can't find that clause about hunting or collecting anywhere in the 2nd Amendment.
