Mean while...over the pond, we have a very interesting read from the London Times online:smoke23:
"London is becoming a city of vigilantes. The well-off are hiring uniformed guards, and teenagers are arming themselves with knives — because no one else is going to defend them."

Americans need to be in constant vigilance of our most fundamental rights's. Our freedoms won't be lost all at once, but piece-meal...chipped away at by well-meaning but thoroughly wrong thinking. A lower-court decision here and some seemingly innocent bill passed there and before you know it you've lost a small sliver of your Freedom. That's how it works, not a giant wave, but a slow constant trickle. Our British cousin's are depending on their Government for security and safety and are getting neither. Other's have stated it and I believe it, "Our second Amendment Right ensures protection of the other Rights." That Right allows me to provide my own security and combined with other like minded, our community, state, and ultimately our Nation.

There are a few things that "No compromise" is applicable to. The Constitution and all of its amendments are one of those things. Give no ground! It just encourages the socialists.

it's funny, during the past few years of dubya being in office, i've been scared of this happening. my books being tracked at the library, the clerk asking for my ID to buy claritin/sudafed, having to show my ID just to walk into an airport, the list goes on and on. now that we're faced with possibility of HRC or obama becoming president, i'm frelling terrified.

Heh ...try buying 4 or 5 boxes of sudafed and claritan...My best friend is one of 8 children... 6 of them still at home and homeschooled...Once one gets sick...they ALL get sick. Her mother has to go from pharmacy to pharmacy to get enough cold drugs every fall/winter since you cant buy more than one box at each store at a time.

The 2nd Amendment is the restart button for the rest of the Constitution.
a. It is up to us all to remember that. Most all will remember that.
b. Then to be prepared to act. Many will prepare in their own way.
c. Then to actually act when it is in our collective best interests as citizens. These few will be the ones to save the many.
Which category will YOU be?

You give an inch on your second amendment rights and the antis will take a yard. Once they get your second admendment rights taken away they will start on the first amendment rights. Like Hilary said "The little people are not capable of makeing decisions, the goverment must make it for them."

It isn't just the 2nd that's under attack. Look at what's happened to privacy in the last 10 years! People keep giving up little things in the name of this mythical "security". Sorry but giving it all up for this myth is called tyranny.
