i don't even know what to say about this. those people are just....are just....
I dont know whether to be pissed off or cry about this. I, like all of you, am furious. This man gave his life so that others may live. I think that a park is the perfect place for a statue honoring his memory. I think its been said before, but I will reiterate it. I hope that someday a child will look at the statue and ask their parents why its there and who it is of. I hope that when they tell the little child, they explain that this man gave up ever seeing his family again, growing old, having children and grandchildren, sleeping in his own bed, hugging his mother or shaking his father's hand so others on his team could do everything above. Explain to them what John 15:13 says. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Rest in peace Petty Officer Dietz. Rest in peace.
No I won't back down--Johnny Cash
If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.
--Thomas Paine December 19, 1776
The probability that we may fail in the struggle ought not deter us from the support of a cause we believe to be just.
If you want a truly peaceful animal, look at lemmings. Of course, they have a strange habit of following each other off cliffs and falling to their deaths. I see a parallel here...
