These idiots have no business remaining in a country that was formed in the glorified violence of the Revolution and defended with more glorified violence for over 200 years.

Without the Revolution, they would be British subjects, so maybe they should move to England. No, that won't work either, since the British also have used glorified violence to defend their island.

Maybe as a form of sincere protest, they should just lay down and die!

that's absolutely the most ridiculous thing I've heard all year. So, now we're supposed to be afraid of a statue of a gun? If the statue were holding an actual functioning M-16, I could understand, but there's nothing to fear from a stone model of a gun, especially in the context of a fallen soldier.

Comparing the guns at Columbine with the weapon in her husband's hands is like comparing a criminal's knife with a surgeon's scalpel
This is an excellant comparison. I think I might add that to my sig (referenced, of course)

That just makes me ill, I had to stop reading in order to spare my keyboard from suffering a vomit infusion.

I think we should drop all the antis and a buch of criminals onto an island for a real life "Survivor" reality series...

This is so sad it's downright hilarious. We're pretty much doomed as a country anymore.

Instead of reverence and honor, these people would rather have us teach... what? Fear and selfishness? This man gave his life for his teammates. His politics were and are irrelevant. Damn them for injecting that into this matter.

"I'd rather be called a 'peacenik'..."
"Why not him holding a child?"
    "...a dove instead..."

    Disgusting. Innacurate. Deplorable.

I put forth that Littleton, in "honor" of these "peaceniks," should place the following qoute at the base of the memorial:
"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."

these idiots want peace and freedom but do not want to do whats necessary to get it. They sound like Fonda clones. Theres a lot of people who have never been in the service and do not know what our guys are going through to insure that we keep our freedom.

I will say this that statute looks pretty cool. Its interesting to see the progression of our armed forces just from the gear they carry. I mean I know our boys were extremely tough in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam and were just as tough as the boys are today, but you got to admit that is one Bad looking uniform, bad in a good way. I wouldn't want to go up against a guy looking like that.

Those worthless *&$#'s don't deserve to have GM2 Dietz watching over thier children anyway. I'm sure another community in Littleton would be happy to have him.

This is just another disgusting display of the typical middle class, hoplophobic, hysterical, woman venting abour something she logically does not understand. She would kill you in a minute if you threatened her kids but she does not equate that with a soldier protecting the safety and freedom of her children and others. It is a matter of intellect and ignorance.
