I'd rather keep her talking no matter how boisterous an uneducated her opinion is, hatred has a way of turning off people, even sheep.
"[T]he people are not to be disarmed of their weapons.
They are left in full possession of them."

Zacharia Johnson (speech in the Virginia Ratifying Convention,25 June 1778)"The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed." ~Alexander Hamilton

Found those with some quick searching. Can't really say if any of them are valid or not. Nothing on major news media that I saw, but that doesn't really surprise me.
Thank you very much for the links.

the gun lobby is too strong.
Thankfully, it's not the "gun lobby" that is strong, but the Constitution.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

Like most everything that comes out of her mouth, this was just another knee-jerk babble fest.

She will NEVER stop talking about gun control.

Yes, that's why I said I don't know how legit they are. Worldnetdaily is a pretty conservative media piece and that was pretty much all I found with some quick searching.

It appears to me that she did have an armed bodyguard that got a weapon, but that nothing much was made about it in the mainstream media because they don't care about hypocrisy or whatever else.

Let's hope she keeps her word on this.

Alec Baldwin said he'd move out if Bush became president.

These are people who lie constantly. (Rosie lies constantly about guns, right?) So why would she be credible when saying that she's "giving up" on gun control?

The same stealth lying about not pushing for gun control that got so many voters to be suckered into electing democrats this past time around has worked for them. Why would they come right out front and say they're working for gun control, when saying that they're not, but continuing to do so, would cause some gun advocates to lower their guard?

WE should say that we're not going to push for gun rights anymore, get them to drop their guard, but keep right on fighting for them. See how they like the dishonesty-game when it's thrown back upon them . . .
