Please click on the link below and give it a read, I know we all don't notice the stickies sometimes, but this one needs to be read.
I would rather stand against the cannons of the wicked than against the prayers of the righteous.

Lots of salient points in that.
"Criminals are not dissuaded by soft words, soft judges or easy laws. They are dissuaded by fear and they are prevented from repeating their crimes by death or by incarceration."It's that simple. We know it now. We knew it then. Most judges know it, though they pander to the fearful. Most politicians know it, though they'd burn down the Constitution before offending one wailing constituent. And, when push comes to shove, particularly after having survived a situation where only adequate ability to resist attack could have made a difference, most citizens know it, too, despite their public protestations of naievete. No doubt."Our nation was built and civilized by men and women who used guns in self-defense and in pursuit of peace. One wonders, indeed, if the rising crime rate isn't due as much as anything to the criminal's instinctive knowledge that the average victim no longer has means of self-protection."

Every single member of the U.S. House and Senate needs to see this article. How about we task ourselves to each send a copy of that article either via email or snail mail to our own state's representatives? If everyone pitches in, we'll have covered all states in short order.
Strange that he forgot this in 1986...If we give up part of that Constitution we give up part of our freedom and increase the chance that we will lose it all.
I am not ready to take that risk. I believe that the right of the citizen to keep and bear arms must not be infringed if liberty in America is to survive.
