Fantastic 2nd Amendment Article
I got my USCCA newsletter today and it included an article that is running on the Second Amendment Sisters website. It is worth a read.
THE UNABRIDGED SECOND AMENDMENT
Check it out.

Well, that's neat. A great article to say the least.
The 2nd Amendment Sisters are based just outside of Austin, Texas.
Austin, besides being the capitol of Texas and a Santuary City, is by far the most liberal part of Texas there is. I love it and miss it but because of this I do have mixed feelings about going back there after 20 years. What a shame.

My wife, myself and all of our kids are members of the Second Amendment Sisters. No jokes please.
They are a great organization.

Second Amendment Sisters (SAS) is an outstanding organization.
I would encourage all to join. We have a family membership.
As a reminder, about 50% of the population is female.

Sometime ago, I read that a regular army was not thought of for 117 years after the bill of rights was written.
I will see if I can find it.

Very good! The way things are written can have enormous impact, and the construction of the 2nd Amendment was not taken lightly.
Thanks for shaing the article.

The Founding Fathers thought a standing army a sure way to tyranny. You can read things like the Federalists Papers and their private writings and find it easily. It wasn't until after, what, WWII that we really kept a standing army worth mentioning. I know there was a great draw-down after the First World War. And we didn't have much of an army except in time of actual war at any time before that.
