Angry City of Sacramento - Off its ROCKER

The Sacramento City Council took a plunge off the deep end last night. For my fellow comrades living in Sacramento, I suggest you take your ammunition purchases outside of the City Limits. The City of Sacramento doesn't deserve the sales tax you pay.

    Story is here

Note that the article is titled "Council Targets illegal gun use." The subtitle should read, "law abiding citizens caught in the crossfire." Thanks but no thanks McClatchy!

Chalk up another one to the Socialist Republic of Commifornia.

Amazing. When will we see laws built around accountability of your actions, and not the tools used to commit these actions? As the comments will come, it is time to stop putting laws in place to "protect" anyone by taking from them. It is time to put laws into place that punish criminal actions.

Thank God I live in Texas, for if I lived in Commifornia (which if you have lived or been to Texas, why would you want to live anywhere else?), and heard this, I would start calling the movers...

Similar laws are in effect in such cities as Los Angeles, San Francisco and Oakland. But whether they reduce gun violence is in dispute. The Police Department's own research shows scant evidence of anyone being prosecuted under those laws.
I am generally not one to rant... but I it still amazes me that despite the concrete evidence that it does not work, they still insist on doing it. It doesn't matter what your trying to do that's just stupid.

Definition of stupidity = doing something the same way over and over, and expecting a different result.

I am not surprised, merely disappointed. It seems to me that the politicians now adays are more concerned with making uneducated people feel better about themselves and their situations than to actually enact laws that truly make them safer. It sounds like it's time to either throw the whole lot of them out, or maybe it is time for term limits, so that our politicians never spend too much time worrying about themselves, but worrying about the people that voted them in...

I don't think that these politicians believe for a second that theses measures prevent crime. Sure they always package them that way but I believe their intent is only to deprive all citizens their right to own and use firearms. I think they could really care less about its impact on real crime. Bottom line they hate the idea of the peons having any kind of power over their lives and want everyone to bow before the alter of government.

If you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you've always gotten.

Moved from California and now celbrating 18 months of practicing good gun control; tighter shot groups from practice that was prohibited in the republic of CA.

Interesting. Another Adolph(f) who wants to disarm his subjects - I mean citizens. And they call Republicans fascists...

Precisely. Power corrupts and then stirs the desire for one thing - more power! Independent citizens are a limit on their power and they can't stand that.

I live in Ca and I bought 2 guns yesterday. One for my wife (finally), a Taurus .357, one for me cause I wanted to, a way tricked out Colt 1911. We stopped in to buy a little pepper spray and left 1150 dollars lighter. Sacramento and the politics of the majority of the state suck, period. From the promotion of immoral behavior as normal to gun control. I bear it only by living in a rural county that hands out CCW's like bottled water.
