Gun And Colleges
My school bans firearms. Rarely did I keep a gun in my room, but long story short, in a 24 hour period, one stupid time I did have my .45 in my room and it was discovered by "Homecoming Room Checks".
I was suspended from school for the remainder of the year (this was last october) I was allowed to return to school this year, but almost as a prisoner, my wrestling scholarship was taken and I am banned from competing in any sports this year.
This isn't an ultra liberal state either, this is a private school in North Dakota! I have a valid conceal and carry and the firearm was stored cleaned, slide locked back with the magazine out, cable and trigger locked in the manufacturers case.
I know there are rules against this, but I do think the sentence was harsh. It's been said before, but look at Virginia Tech, maybe there needed to be some armed good guys?
To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them...

Too bad, I am sorry to hear your school has this attitude, but most schools do. It will be very hard to get schools to change their mind and policy's about legally armed CC permit holders but maybe someday.

We can all hope. When the bill gets passed to actually do it, I'll start planning my move.

I would seriously look for a college with a wrestling team in UTAH...
"That I cannot do."
"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."
